This Entrance to Courtyard is a part of an architecture element of Chan See Shu Yuen. Chan See Shu Yuen Temple is certainly KL's most attractive clan house. One of KL's oldest Chinese Buddhist temples, the Chan See Shu Yuen Temple opened its doors in 1906 and its main purpose was to provide help and support for newly arrived immigrants from China, specifically those from the extended Chan (Chen and Tan) clan. Chan See Shu Yuen is best known for its intricate carvings, which show stories from Chinese legends mixed in which some more modern figures. Much of the tiling, both on the walls and the roof, is green, from which it gets its informal name, the Green Temple.
